Shanghai, on China’s central coast was the  last stop on our tour. It is the country’s largest city in China with a population of 15 million and gateway through which modern life entered China.

We were met at the airport by the local tour guide and transferred to the hotel.

Itinerary for Shanghai:

  • Dinner and a tour to the Bund, the former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period
  •  Enjoy a walk along the Nanjing Road, praised as the ‘5th Avenue’ of the East.
  •  Sightseeing includes rich collections at the Shanghai Museum, the Jade Buddha Temple, and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden at the ‘Old Quarter’
  • See the world famous Shanghai Acrobatic Performance.

Shanghai was such an amazing city and the most modern of the three cities we had visited. The two days spent there was not enough to explore and experience the culture and indulge in the local cuisine but we made a promise to return and explore the places we did not get to visit.

China is a safe destination to visit and we had loads of fun exploring on our own after our pre-booked tours were over for the day.
